Wireless rig control with iPhone--Demo | wm6h | on 7/6/15 |
I entered a contest on Hackaday.com to win a wireless module (Bluetooth Low Energy--BLE). I won (along with a few others) and embedded the module in a TenTec Patriot 507 QRP transceiver. BLE is a good match for QRP and the protocol includes wireless Discovery, Connection, and Advertising of radio services. These are add-ons for IP (wifi). There is only the one protocol where for IP every radio seems to have its own riding on top of TCP/IP. IP will no doubt win out (it always seems to) but I still had a good time with this project and will enjoy showing it off on Field Day. Demo YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/Iu03kt5JFK0 Bob wm6h |
