Mark WM7D, has page that aggregates solar and geomagnetic measurements that can be used to predict band conditions. http://www.wm7d.net/hamradio/solar/ http://www.dxsummit.fi/ This site has a little black window that shows coarsely calculated band conditions You could easily turn band calculations into full time job--if someone were willing to adequately fund it. http://www.hamqsl.com/solar.html Maybe you can--I looked at the copyright info, plugged that into google.com, and found out that you can install that propagation box on a web page or desktop. Zack Lau W1VT ARRL Senior Lab Engineer |

This site shows a graphical representation of actual open paths on different bands worldwide: http://www.dxmaps.com/spots/map.php?Lan=E&Frec=28&ML=M&Map=NA&DXC=N&HF=S&GL=N |

I wish ARRL could put up a SIMPLE accurate chart stating current band conditions from 10m through 160. I know QRZ has this chart but at times, I believe, they lie like a rug. Let me know, without all the gobbley-gook, whether to turn on the rig or the TV! Loby-WA2AXZ |
