Monitoring Modulation

I am experimenting with adding modulation to a small (~30 watt) homebuilt RF amplifier for 40 meters. Is there a low-cost device that I can use for spectrum analysis type monitoring? It would be nice to have something that would work on-air or with a dummy load (like maybe from a coax breakout with attennuator of some kind). I have no idea what might be available, so all suggestions are welcome. Larry K0WUQ |
