Hi Everyone. I am a new Middle School Science Teacher in OKC Inner City. I am looking for connections as well as ideas. This year has been a wash, but I am hoping to start a Ham radio club next year. On another note, we are in tornado alley and thought a weather station for my classroom that the whole school can use would be great as well. Suggestions on using Ham radio in the classroom with curriculum. We teach physics, Physical Science, and Earth Science. Thanks and 73 Daniel Hileman WO5WO |

Hi Daniel, You should reach out to Jim Hicks, WB4CTX. Jim taught a for-credit radio technology class at Dixie Heights High School (KY4DH) in Kentucky for quite a few years. There was a write up in the Feb 2009 QST. Jim is now retired, but I'm sure he would be happy to offer you suggestions. You can find Jim's email address on qrz.com. 73, Mark AI4BJ |
