I wonder if someone could help me with this. I have a motorola tube unit i am planning to restore and put it on the air. I cannot find any info on this anywhere. I don't know if this is a vhf or uhf model. the nameplate says model DA 3G0V-1 or DA 3GGV-1, plate is damaged. Trans type is TA-139, serial no. 10 power is 6/12v, although it is a desk model built in 115 vac supply..
If i could be directed to where i could find info I would appreciate it...thanks Bob k9wls

The DA3GGV-1 / TA139 is VHF, WB FM (30 kHz audio deviation) desktop base station. Watch some old TV episodes of Highway Patrol or The Andy Griffith show. Chassis of that vintage will often have production dates stamped on them. Your unit dates should probably be in the 1950 to 1960 range. You could try the Batwing Labs web site at www.batlabs.com for historical info, but most stuff posted there is from the 1990s or later.
