QST archives or not

I have been practicing with the ARRL code archives and occasionally come across an article I would like to read. When I searched for the articles ALL of them said that they were not available for download. The note at every said that anything prior to 2012 was unavailable however I checked all August issues of QST up through 2016 and ALL were unavailable for download. So my question (from a new ham and ARRL member) is what's up with that? Jim KG5OOU |

Are you looking at the correct archive? On the main QST page there are two boxes, one is for the digital QST archive 2012 to present and the other for 1915 through 2011. The latter has scanned individual articles available as PDFs. The former is the digital version of QST available to all members. What I don't know about the former is whether a new member gets access to issues older than your join date. Since I've been a member continuously for going on 34 years, I don't know. 73, Nate N0NB.us |

We haven't converted the new articles over to the old archive. Instead, you need to go to the new archive to access the new articles. But, we still up load useful indexing information about new articles to the old archive. This can be useful for folks who prefer the old indexing system to the full text search feature of the new archive. Zack Lau W1VT ARRL Senior Lab Engineer |

Thanks. I got it. Sure was easy to go down the wrong path though. In fact did it again just now...but finally found it. |

Just to clarify one point, all ARRL members have access to the downloads for all of the past QST articles, including those that are before their join date. Ed Hare, W1RFI, ARRL Lab |
