When I tune my inverted v antenna on RTTY mode,I get the full 100 watts out. When I go to usb voice transmission, I can only get 30 watts max. Thank you. KC6BIU |

That is typically how most power meters in radios work--they lack the extra circuitry required to catch voice peaks, so the maximum they register is only only 25 or 30% of PEP. Zack W1VT ARRL Senior Lab Engineer |
