Voice simplex NCFs

I've encountered a fair amount of confusion regarding simplex National Calling Frequencies for voice transmissions. Specifically, frequencies on specific bands that I might be able to utilize with a HT. Utilizing a Yaesu VX-8DR, I programmed a number of frequencies found, only to receive an error message when attempting to transmit. The following are four (4) frequencies that I have programmed, that don't result in a transmission error. Please correct me if I am in error. NCF 70cm 446.000 NCF 1.25M 223.500 NCF 2M 146.520 NCF 6M 50.125 Of course, please provide the correct NCF frequencies if I am incorrect. |
